Why there are so many versions of King Arthur

There are many different versions of King Arthur. Why are there different versions you may ask yourself. Each author has a different idea of King Arthurs quest. Authors have a different way of bringing a story to life. One author may have King Arthur be nice and other authors may have him be mean. The whole story depends on how the author feels about the story. Other ways the stories can be different is the cover and title. One book can be called ‘King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table’ and the other book could be called ‘The Acts of King Arthur’ or something as simple as just ‘King Arthur’. Another thing is the cover. The cover can range from a sword to King Arthur himself.
